CPA
As a native of Missouri and a graduate of the University of Missouri in St. Louis, Rob was first licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1987, while working as a staff member with the Missouri State Auditor in Jefferson City, MO. He later graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law, where he focused on the laws and regulations of taxation. He received additional apprenticeship training with the tax department of Ernst & Whinney, a national CPA firm now known as Ernst & Young, and with a top law firm in St. Louis, Missouri.
Rob first established Schaeffer CPA and relocated his professional practice to Springfield, Missouri, in 2005.In addition to his work at Schaeffer CPA, Rob taught as an adjunct professor of accounting at University of Missouri, and has lectured for professional development courses in all areas of federal and state taxation. He has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for over twenty-five years and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In his free time, Rob enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, and recreational reading.
